Customer service doesn't exist here, only love. The owners have an incredible ability to reach into your soul & make you feel like lifelong friends. You can taste the patience, attention to detail & true craftsmanship in every bite. Everything is made in house from scratch with zero processed ingredients. Just pure, fresh food. The empanada’s flaky crust instantly reminded me of a Jamaican beef patty & the seasoned breading combined with their chimichurri took it to another level. The plantains, steak & eggs & fresh limeade were all fantastic. The brownies? Absolutely divine.
La Duni is a Dallas treasure. We had another incredible lunch today and had great conversation with the owners Taco and Dunia. We all had Limonadas con menta to drink. They are the most refreshing, balanced, and tastiest lemonades I’ve ever had. We had the rice salad w/ chicken and a torta cubano with yucca fries. They have the best chimichurri sauce for the fries which they make in-house. You can taste the love and excellence in La Duni’s drinks and food. I highly encourage everyone to have the La Duni experience and support a family who has shared their gifts with the Dallas community for many years.
Feels like home! Everyone, even the chef, will come out and say hi. Wonderful service! It's a tiny place, but the food is delicious, so many options of pastries & desserts! Coffee was really good too, simple and not bitter ❤️
Taco is the owner, and was an excellent host when we dropped in to see what was available. Terrific made to order coffee! Great atmosphere in the small space, and an outstanding selection of pastries.
We have been patrons of La Duni for many years, back when they were at Northpark mall & McKinney locations. We were passing through Dallas on the way home and wanted to go back! The current location is in an industrial area- so restaurant seating is Intimate and seats about ~10 so we were so lucky to get a seat right away on Saturday for lunch! Don’t let the outside industrial vibe scare you off, their food and bakery and coffee is just as solid as it was 10 + years ago even at their larger locations. We loved being able to visit with the owners in this current setting- enjoyed a wonderful lunch of chilaquiles, huevos con carnitas and coffees. The quality is 💯💯 and they care very much about delivering excellent quality & service. We bought bakery items to enjoy at home because our bellies were so full and happy! 🥰🥰 we are so glad they are here for all to enjoy their amazing meals and bakery items! People were buying so many cakes for Easter as well. Check them out you won’t be disappointed! ♥️♥️
